The international exercise, organized by EU MODEX, will take place for the first time in Romania, between May 30 and June 4, 2022. About 600 people will be involved in the exercise, and Bite Sandwiches will provide the table for rescuers.

"The purpose of this exercise is to test the response of emergency and medical services in situations of extreme stress. The scenarios are not known to us, they will be developed during the exercise and will be sent to us by the organizers. Certainly, the scenarios will be as realistic as possible, maybe even with a higher level of gravity. These simulations are beneficial both for us as authorities, but also for citizens, to know what we have to do in a real situation. " said the chief inspector of ISU Mureș, Brigadier General Călin Ioan Handrea.

During the exercise, an explosion is simulated, which is followed by dangerous gas leaks into the atmosphere, at the Azomureș plant in Târgu Mureș. The exercise has several phases: in the first phase will intervene locally with forces and means in the field with the activation of the Red Intervention Plan but also with the convening of the County Committee for Emergency Situations (CJSU) and the activation of the County Center for Coordination and Management Intervention (CJCCI), given the scale of the event, national support will be requested, followed by European support.

The SMURD teams will be on duty 24 hours a day to ensure intervention in real emergencies.In order to show our support for the people who come to the aid of the citizens every day, during the exercise, Bite Sandwiches sends packages with sandwiches packed in a protective atmosphere, accompanied by water, juice, or sana, to all those involved. A safe meal for those who keep us safe.

În cadrul exercițiului este simulată o explozie care este urmată de scurgeri de gaze periculoase în atmosferă, la combinatul Azomureș din Târgu Mureș. Exercițiul are mai multe faze:  în prima fază se va interveni pe plan local cu forțe și mijloace în teren cu activarea Planului Roșu de Intervenție dar și cu convocarea Comitetului Județean pentru Situații de Urgență (CJSU) și cu activarea Centrul Județean de Coordonare și Conducere a Intervenției (CJCCI) , având în vedere amploarea evenimentului se va solicita sprijin național, iar ulterior se va solicita sprijin european.
Pe parcursul exercițiului, echipele SMURD vor fi la datorie 24h din 24h pentru a asigura intervenția în situațiile de urgență reală. Pentru a ne arăta sprijinul față de persoanele care zilnic vin în ajutorul cetățenilor, pe durata desfășurării exercițiului, Bite Sandwiches trimite pachete cu sandiwch-uri ambalate în atmosferă protectoare, însoțite de apă, suc, sau sana, tuturor celor implicați. O masă sigură, pentru cei ce ne păstrează în siguranță.
